”Alla bybor har liknande skjul att bo i”
Vår kontaktperson i Nepal, Sita Pokhrel, besökte vår skola i november och skrev följande till oss:
”Dear Make a Kid Smile,
I visited Seti Devi Primary School , Kunchock, Sindhupalchok on 28 November. It is 4 hours drive from Kathmandu including 1 hour drive on muddy road. The school is totally collapsed. The students study in the tent and a temporary
classroom made with bamboo. The office is made with zinc sheet which also includes a classroom for grade 1 students.
I met with the Principal of the school and the Chairman. Both of them said that they are ready to start the work at anytime. If the construction work is completed before February, they will be on the safe side because after February the strong wind starts to blow. They fear it may take away the roof of the temporary shed where they are running the classes.
I also interviewed some students. They also want the classrooms to be built at the earliest. Although it was Saturday, students had gathered in the school.
Some photos and a short video is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
Thanking you,
Sita”
